1890-1965
Mary B. J. (Killin) Miners
Daughter of James and Catherine (Pryde) Killin. Wife of Ernest J. Miners, of Toronto, Ontario Born in Scotland in 1890. Died September 19th, 1965. Age 75 years.
Mary grew up with two sisters and four brothers; Jessie, Catherine, William, Archie, John & Jimmy.
Mary was reported to have married a man who said he owned a large farm in western Canada. When she moved out to the farm with her new husband it turned out to be a one room house made of sod with no running water and an outhouse. Apparently Mary did not approve and returned to her family in Toronto, presumably divorcing this man.
At some point Mary met Ernest Miners and they became married. Both Mary and Earnest are buried in the family plot.
