Born in Fifeshire Scotland May 14th, 1893. Died June 13th, 1916. Age 22 years.
Pte. James W. Couper (#135681, member of the 1st Bn. Western Ontario Regiment, Canadian Expeditionary Force) killed in action on June 13th, 1916 in Belgium.
James listed his occupation as “Driver” before his July 17th, 1915 enlistment in Toronto. James sailed from Montreal on the troop ship Scandinavia on October 1st 1915.
