Jessie (Killin) Neill

Daughter of James and Catherine (Pryde) Killin.
Wife of David Cuthbert Neill, of Toronto, Ontario

Born in Scotland in 1889. Died October 8th, 1918. Age 29 years.
(Note that there seems to be an inconsistency relative to the date of her death. The above date is what is on the stone.)


Jessie grew up with two sisters and four brothers; Mary, Catherine,  William, Archie, John & Jimmy.


Jessie and David would marry and have two children, Catherine & Tom. Both children were left orphans when Jessie died of influenza and then David was killed in action.

Their two children were taken in by Jessie’s parents (James and Catherine) and raised as part of their family. Tom would eventually go on to become the family piper.
